Freezing Sweet Corn

We live on a farm, raise field corn, soy beans and sweet corn. Plus I have a very large garden that I love to spend time in and reap the harvest. I have been picking produce for a couple weeks now and can and freeze what I can to get us by for the winter. There is nothing like fresh produce that you raise and process yourself. I know that what I eat is the best there is with no chemicals added.
Tonight I froze sweet corn. I work full time during the day so have to make use of the time I have in the evening. I only do a small amount each night until I have all that I need for the winter.
I have a Foodsaver vacuum sealer with bags. It makes freezing a breeze. I use this handy little tool that I got from Pampered Chef to cut the corn off the cob, this is one item everyone should have if they freeze corn. It makes life a whole lot easier. It is a corn kernel cutter and it works. Here is a picture of it.
My recipe is very easy and takes no time at all. Tonight I got ten 2 cup bags. Each night I will do about that much and by the weekend I will have it all done.
FREEZING CORN
15 c raw corn
3/4 c sugar
1/8 c salt
4 c cold water
Husk and wash ears of corn. Cut corn off cob and mix all together: freeze in freezer bags, the size of your choice.
ENJOY!
